Welcome to the Newcastle upon Tyne District Blog Website! We hope you will find what you’re looking for and be encouraged by what you read!

The Newcastle District is one of immense diversity. The City of Newcastle is the economic and cultural centre of the region and with the City of Sunderland forms the main centre of the population. In addition to these urban areas the District has an interesting mix of market towns, former mining areas and an extensive rural area.

The District comprises the northern part of County Durham, Tyne and Wear and all of Northumberland. It covers an area 90 miles north to south and 50 miles east to west.

There are 16 Circuits and you will find details of each of these on this website. Within these Circuits are approximately 175 church buildings of which about 10% are shared with those of other denominations. Residing within the District at present are 116 ministers of whom approximately one third are retired.

Within such a large District communication has always proved difficult and despite our best endeavours there is always someone who says “nobody ever told me”! God had that problem too so after he had communicated through words and images He came Himself in Jesus to show us what He was like. So we hope that the words and images you find here will help you to discover more about Jesus, God’s living word, and if we can help you in that search we’d be delighted! You’ve visited the website so why not visit one of our churches in person? You’d be most welcome!
