Able to develop and extend the present work in the mid week Children’s JAM (Jesus and Me) Clubs
Able to establish pastoral relationships with existing parental contacts and to develop new opportunities
Able to encourage and co-ordinate leadership with our children’s work at all levels within the church family. (JAM, Mums and Toddlers, Junior Church)
Prepared to work with the support and encouragement from a management group and local Church Leadership Team

Then you may be just the person we’re looking for. We are seeking someone who can continue and further develop the work with young people and families in the church, as well as co-ordinating and encouraging existing youth workers with children and family work.

Are looking for a PART-TIMECOLLECTIVE WORSHIP PRIMARY SCHOOL WORKER
20 hours per week
From September 2009 onwards

A committed Christian
Able to develop collective worship in local primary schools
Able to establish & develop relationships with head teachers and staff
Able to be the focal point for enquiries on collective worship, offering practical advice on what is legally required without jeopardizing teacher integrity
Prepared to engage with local churches and clergy to build a team of people who might be trained and utilized in leading collective acts of worship.

Then you may be just the person we’re looking for. We are seeking someone who can lead an initial 2 year project to work with North Tyneside Primary Schools, to give the schools confidence in delivering quality collective worship.

Pastoral Assistant – Brunswick Methodist Church
Newcastle upon Tyne

Brunswick Methodist Church in Newcastle upon Tyne seeks a Pastoral Assistant with good communication and interpersonal skills to support the on-going pastoral work amongst the congregation and activities of the church.
Working alongside the ministerial team and many volunteers you will be based at Brunswick, a busy city centre church which is open 7 days a week. Some evening and weekend work will be necessary.

Hours worked will be 20 hours a week; the hourly rate is £8.72 which equates to a pro-rata annual salary of £9,069 (£17,004 F/T equivalent). A contributory pension scheme will be available.
